Volvo is now joining the movement to go all-electric by 2030

Swedish carmaker Volvo has announced this week that it plans to go all-electric by 2030.

Half their cars will be all-electric by 2025 and the other half will be hybrid with all vehicles going electric by 2030. Volvo plans to launch a whole new line of entirely electric vehicles. Their first line being the C40. A fully electric SUV with a range of 261 miles.

Volvo Chief Executive Håkan Samuelsson told reporters, “I am totally convinced there will be no customers who really want to stay with a petrol engine. We are convinced that an electric car is more attractive for customers.”

Volvo also stated that its electric vehicles will be equipped with wireless upgrades to improve range and efficiency as EV technology improves.
