Coronavirus cases in India have made a major drop as cases began declining in September

India was on course for the largest number of infections in the world until cases suddenly began dropping in September.

Nearly 100,000 infections were reported each day during India’s peak, but this has taken an unexplained tumble since September to around 11,000 a day and figures in November also showed 90% of New Delhi’s critical care beds with ventilators were filled, whereas just 16% were full last Thursday.
